Thank you for sharing that post with your readers.
So are you saying you partake in that meaning?
A very good friend of mine, Walter Morgan Bryant Jr., USMC, 2 tours of Vietnam, Sgt., passed away 1 March 2020.
He was everyone’s best friend. If anyone needed anything, it was Wally out seeking to solve the problem. He definitely came home different after the service, but he did not impose any affects on his friends or even acquaintances.
His life touched mine in more ways than one and I grieve losing him everyday.
I like that better also, to some extent. Be safe is equal to I love and care about you so be safe so you come back and we can be reckless together! š¤š
Thank you very much for sharing this history.
Very Nice!
you must have real low standards. he was a dirtbag
Thank you for your service to our heroes!!
Best Hazed i ever was a victim of. I was apart of an elite group that was and still admired across the Armed forces and i bet all who got them would do it again. AATW.
I lament the passing of āthe gauntletā, as well. Being welcomed into the NCO corps was my proudest moment in the Army, and as inappropriate as it may have been, the gauntlet made it official.

Extremely light piece of kit as well. You got the door though..now it takes me 30 minutes to walk when I wake upā¦
I loved my time at Bragg and with Delta Battery as a Vulcan Crewman. I got to jump once into Bliss for qualifications. It was always Delta against Bravo Battery. I agree when in 3rd of the 4th we were STRAC, I was there when a lot of personnel were Leved to Korea. There was a big rivalry between the Legs and us Airborne. I would put 2ND ID on the same level as us in the 82nd. I was in Alpha Battery 2/61 at RC-4, while there I learned so much more of our combat mission as a Vulcaneer. After Korea, I was sent to Fort Bliss as a newly promoted SGT. Went to training BDE. total differnt mission. Nothing compared to Bragg or Korea. I never made it back to Bragg. Became an MP and went to Germany and worked a Military Working Dog. Got of active duty after 12 years. Became a Police Officer, but stayed in the NM Army Guard, as a 16P, 16S/14M and 14J. Activated as 14J for Clear Skies in 2003, a year later deployed as an MP to Iraq. I am Airborne and never forgot where I’m from. I love your stories.
send me your email, let’s get you interviewed
I got my blood wings in 65 the scars have long since gone away but the memories are still there

Whoop Whoop… Thanks…. AATW!
Thaank you for being you
Global peace is a pipe dream. It’s not possible. We should cultivate it where we can find it and build alliances with those who seek peace and share moral values but recognize that power hungry leaders and countries are part of the paradigm and some are not going act humanely unless we FORCE it upon them. It’s unfortunate that the world is such a potentially bad place these days-but that is our reality and you have to plan and be prepared for the worst. Having a powerful military, built to decimate other country’s forces is a necessity of the world we live. Lamenting our inability to achieve world peace is fake emotion or a very underdeveloped understanding of the world and people in general.
I love you man, thanks for reading and your reply! I believe that we find peace Spiritually and bring that peace to others. The way that starts is that I agree to value your opinion. What you have written assumes that we have power and that we must employ that power to control everyone else and FORCE whatever we have onto someone else. Unfortunately our country is run by war mongers and we allow it. We must deliver peace if that is what we want, not bombs. Bombs don’t bring peace, peace brings peace.
I was in two 82nd Airborne Division review and I absolutely love it. I was a Sgt
(P) stinger team chief and I carried the stinger weapon on my right shoulder. It was awkward weapon to carry but I did it and never complained about it. Yes when the paratroopers heard that magical command ” Pass and reiew”. At that very moment you moving your legs, because you have been standing up and the one movement that you have done it change standing positions from standing at attention, parade rest and present arms. So that magical command is every bit worth waiting for. So as your units turn comes to move it’s kinda stiff and you start marching to the beat of the drum. Then you come to do a finalleft turn and then you really start dressing right and covering down. Then as you start getting closer to the command ” Eyes” , ” Right”. Then you look right if you are in the right paces to look to the right if not then you only look straight ahead. It’s a absolutely proud moment and the sweat is running into your eyes and you had better not wipe your eyes and your brand new maroon beret is feeling tight on your head. But it’s worth it. Then as you past the reviewing stand you are told to eyes center. Then someone gets outside of the formation and starts singing cadence and everyone sings the cadence all the way back to your battalion. To me that march back was absolutely wonderful. I loved being in the 82nd Airborne Division the entire 33 months. AATW!!!!! ALL THE WAY AND THEN SOME!!!!!
